Statement of Faiith

The Bible

The Bible is God’s word, divinely inspired by the Holy Spirit, and is written to all people. The Bible is absolute truth and exists without error and applies to every area of our daily lives.

 

The Trinity

God exists as one substance in three persons: The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit. They operate in perfect relationship, harmony, and unity, although each member of the Trinity serves different functions.

 

The Father

God is omnipresent, omnipotent, and omniscient. He is all knowing, ever present, and unchanging. He is Holy and is our Father. God is faithful to his people and his promises.

 

The Son

Jesus Christ is the express image of God. He is human, and at the same time fully God. He defeated death in his resurrection so that we can have eternal life.

 

The Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit is our comforter, friend, and advocate. He guides believers into all truth and exalts Jesus Christ. He convicts people of sin and is also the giver of all spiritual gifts listed in 1 Corinthians 12:4-11.

 

Eternity

Man was created to exist forever. He will either exist eternally separated from God by sin or in union with God through forgiveness and salvation. To be eternally separated from God is Hell. To be eternally in union with him is Heaven. Heaven and Hell both exist eternally.

 

Man

Man is made in the image of God and is the Supreme Object of His Creation. Man was created to have fellowship with God but through sinful disobedience became separated in that relationship. Because of this man cannot attain a right relationship with God through his own effort.

 

Salvation

The Blood of Jesus Christ, shed on the cross, provides the only way of salvation through the forgiveness of sin. Salvation is a gift of God and cannot be earned through our own efforts.
